Personal Tax Preparation

Professionally Prepared Personal and Sole Proprietor Tax Returns

Taxes are complicated, made even more so by the ever-changing rules around what you can and can’t claim. Get the most out of your tax return by working with a professional.

You don’t need to do it all. Pass your tax preparation off to a professional.

If preparing for tax season fills you with dread, you’re not alone. The rules around what you can claim seem to change every year—and it’s my job to stay on top of these changes so I can get you the most out of your tax return.

The CRA gives most people anxiety. I can act on your behalf to deal with any issues that come up with the CRA.

Submit your tax claim with peace-of-mind that you’re getting the most back while staying CRA compliant.

“My worst fear is having something go wrong and having the CRA come down on my head. When I did end up filing something incorrectly, Haley was able to act on my behalf to resolve the issue with the CRA so I avoided massive penalties. I opted for her QuickBooks training so tax season isn’t the most stressful month of the year anymore.”

How does personal tax preparation work?

  • First, we’ll chat about your needs and, if you have a sole proprietorship, where you are with your business.

  • Next, I will have you sign an engagement letter and CRA authorization form so I can act on your behalf when dealing with the CRA.

  • We’ll go over what I need from you, and use Sync.com—an online end-to-end encrypted, secure Canadian-based service—to transfer files.

  • I’ll use TaxCycle and my 12+ years of experience to prepare and e-file your T1 Personal Income Tax and Benefit Return.

  • And then you’re done for another year!
